Our environment and everyday surroundings can have a big impact on our mental health. We often don’t realize how something like a cluttered home or fluorescent lighting can affect our mood and well-being. When we are in a physical space that looks or feels stressful, it is most likely going to lead us to feel this way in our headspace. Autumn tends to be a busy time for most of us and mixed with the shorter days and colder weather it can impact our well-being. Transitioning into a new season can be exciting yet it can also lead us to feel uneasy and overwhelmed. We might not even realize that our self-care can be the first to go when change happens.
