Individual Therapy

Mindful Therapy Collective offers individual therapy for adolescents and adults. My approach is rooted in a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and collaboration. In a confidential and supportive space, we’ll work together to explore your concerns and tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals. I use a person-centered, integrative approach—drawing from evidence-based modalities while adapting tools and techniques to fit what works best for you.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and can be scheduled weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your needs. We’ll determine the recommended frequency during our first session. For your convenience, all services are provided via telehealth through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform, available to individuals residing in Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Therapeutic Modalities

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT is a mindfulness-based approach that helps you develop a healthier relationship with your thoughts and feelings—rather than getting stuck in them or trying to avoid them. The goal isn’t to eliminate discomfort, but to build psychological flexibility so you can take values-based actions even in the face of anxiety, fear, or uncertainty. ACT can be especially helpful if you find yourself feeling “stuck” or disconnected from the things that matter most to you.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a widely used, evidence-based approach that focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through CBT, you’ll learn to recognize unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge them with evidence, and develop more balanced, supportive beliefs. It’s a practical and structured therapy that empowers you with tools to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and life stress. Together, we’ll explore how your internal dialogue affects your emotions and choices, and practice skills to help you shift that dialogue in a more compassionate direction.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a powerful, research-supported therapy for individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, or distressing life events. It works by helping the brain reprocess painful memories so they no longer feel as intense or overwhelming. During EMDR sessions, you'll focus briefly on a specific memory while engaging in bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements. This process supports your brain’s natural healing ability and can reduce the emotional charge of past experiences. EMDR has been shown to be effective not only for PTSD, but also for anxiety, phobias, and self-esteem issues rooted in earlier life experiences.

Mindful Therapy Collective focuses on…

  • Anxiety that leads to intense, excessive and persistent worries can interfere with your daily functioning and leave you feeling trapped in your own mind. There also may be times where your anxiety seems to come out of nowhere which can increase your worries. Together, we will work together to identify triggers, thought patterns and physiological signs to help you better understand how anxiety presents in your mind and body. We will also practice mindfulness and coping strategies so that you can be more present and get a handle on your symptoms.

  • Feelings of negative self-worth and personal value can impact various areas of your life. After exploring your feelings and the sources of your self-esteem, we will work on building your intrinsic value and strengthening the relationship you have with yourself and others. You will also learn strategies to identify and recognize negative thought patterns and beliefs.

  • When experiencing depression, it can feel hard or impossible to carry on with your daily life. You may not recognize yourself and no longer feel connected to others. We will use a holistic approach to support both the physical and mental effects of depression. Our goal is to help you manage and treat your depression so that you can start feeling like yourself again.

  • You may be struggling with your mental health, going through a life transition, or having difficulty with relationships and communication. It can feel overwhelming and we are here to support you and meet you where you are at. Together, we will work together to find the best form of treatment and guide you through the process.
